Introduction: How to Make Watercolor Paint

The following supplies are needed in order to make the watercolor paint:

  1. Salt
  2. 4-5oz cups
  3. Food coloring
  4. Paper Towel
  5. Bowl
  6. Spoon
  7. All-Purpose Flour
  8. Water
  9. Watercolor brushes
  10. Paper

Step 1: Prepare the Set Up

Utilize the paper towel as a base and put the bowl on top.

Step 2: Add the Flour

Add 4 spoons of flour to one of the cups and then add the flour in the cup into the bowl.

Step 3: Add the Salt

Add 4 spoons of salt to the cup and then add the salt in the cup into the bowl.

Step 4: Prepare the Water

Fill the 5oz cup with water.

Step 5: Add Water

Pour half of the cup with water into the bowl.

Step 6: Mix the Ingredients

Stir up the mixture in the bowl with the spoon until it is completely mixed and diluted.

Step 7: Add More Water

Since the mixture will be a bit thicker, the rest of the cup with water is added to the mixture and it is stirred more.

Step 8: Transfer the Mixture

Transfer the mixture into 4 different 5oz cups evenly.

Step 9: Add More Water If Needed

If the solution is still thick, a little bit of water can be added to make the mixture thinner.

Step 10: Add the Food Coloring

Add 2-3 drops of food coloring into each cup.

Step 11: Mix the Solution

Mix the food coloring within each cup to obtain the color wanted for each solution.

Step 12: Create Art

Use the brush to dip into each color and create art using the piece of paper.
