How to Make a Stealth Paper Airplane

This set of instructions should allow you to create a 'stealth' paper airplane.

Materials needed:

-8.5x11 inch paper (1 for each plane desired)

-Scissors

-Tape

Step 1: Get Some Paper

This may seem self-explanatory, but the number of people who get frustrated in their inability to make a paper airplane simply because they are folding something other than paper, be it cardboard or dirt or yesterday's leftovers is staggeringly high.

So do it right by getting an actual piece of 8x11 inch paper.

Step 2: Fold It in Half

Fold the paper in half vertically, as shown.

Step 3: Fold Tips Down

Take the tips of the top side, and fold them down at a 45-degree angle so that they meet in the middle.

Step 4: Fold Entire Upper Part Down

Fold the upper bit of your paper down so that there is about a 3/4 inch gap between the tip and the bottom of your piece of paper.

Step 5: Fold Tips Down

Fold the top tips down so that they meet in the middle, similar to an earlier step.

Step 6: Fold Small Tip Up

Fold the small triangular tip up so that it overlaps the other two tips you folded down in the previous step.

Step 7: Fold the Paper in Half

Flip the whole paper over and fold your paper in half like shown, so that the small triangular tip you folded up in the last step is visible on the outside. If you can no longer see the small triangular tip after you did this step you folded it inside out.

Step 8: Fold Wing Down

Fold only 1 of the wings down as shown.

Step 9: Fold Other Wing Down

Repeat the previous step on the opposite wing. You will have to flip the plane to the other side to get the proper angle to fold it.

Step 10: Place a Piece of Tap on the Bridge

Place a small piece of scotch tape across the bridge of the plane, on the 'x'. This should stabilize the plane, keeping the wings out horizontally across from each other.

Step 11: Fold Wing-tips Up Slightly

Fold up the end portions of each wing slightly, so that they stand vertically as shown. This is more so it looks cool than anything.

Step 12: Cut Slits and Slightly Fold Up Rudder

Using scissors, cut 2 slits on both wings, near the tip, and then slightly fold up the cut portion. Be careful to not cut the slits too far.

Step 13: You're Done!

Congrats, you folded a (hopefully) cool looking airplane! Celebrate by throwing it at someone, but don't blame me if they get mad at you.
