Introduction: How to Make a Phone Holder With Duct Tape

I tried, I really did. I just suck at everything.

When doing things that require a little bit of physical work, you need to make sure that things like your phone won't fall out of your pocket.

Step 1: Gathering Materials

These are the materials that you need:

  • Duct tape

And that's all. I guess you sort of need something to cut the tape with as well, like scissors, and maybe if you're extra fancy a ruler of some sort.

Step 2: Making the Main Holder

Most phones require at least four 28-centimeter strips of duct tape to create the holder. Once you cut each piece of tape accordingly, fold each almost exactly in half, but enough so that both sides have a little bit of the stick on them, but for the final one, make it so that there is no exposed stick at all, finishing the whole thing.

Step 3: Connecting the Main Holder

Tape it all together so that none of the sticky side is visible, bottom to top. Form it into a loop the size of your phone, then add a little bit more space between so that it would have a small amount of room. Put small strips of duct tape on the inside and outside to tape it all together.

Step 4: Making the Bottom of the Main Holder

Cut more duct tape, this time around 15 cm. Put it on the bottom of your case and fold it up. Then grab one more 15 cm piece, and stick it on through the inside, covering the sticky part of the tape.

Step 5: Making the Neck Strap

Now you need to make the neck strap. Cut a piece of duct tape at around 72 cm. Then fold it once from the bottom to the top.

Then fold it again once from the top to the bottom, so that no stick shows.

Step 6: Putting Two and Two Together

Grab just a little more duct tape, and use it to stick each end of the long strap to each end of the actual holder. Then you're done!

Step 7: Done!
