How to Make a the Body of a PVC Pipe Tent

Today I will teach you how to make a tent from pvc. I messed up in the creation of mine but have provided the steps so you don't do the same for yours.

Step 1: Step 1: Getting Materials

What I used for my tent were 3 10 foot PVC pipes (Size isn't a major issue I used half inch but you can feel free to use whatever you'd like), Two 90 degree connectors that are the same size as the pipe, One 90 degree connector that is double the size of your pipe, two 45 degree connectors, a three 90 degree connector ( there should be a hole on the back of this, not going up), epoxy, and hot glue.

Note, What I used did not actually work so the resources you'll need to replace some things for this to actually work.
You'll need a screw to replace your hot glue and you'll need duck tape to replace the epoxy.

Step 2: Step 2: Cutting Your Pipes

For this step you will simply need to cut your pipes into 4 equally sections. I used 5 foot for mine but you should use less because the size of the pipes actually messed me up in the long run.

Step 3: Step 3: Cutting the Pipes at the Right Angle

For step three we will need to cut the the pipes at an angle so that they fit into a triangle at the base. I used a compound mitre saw with the base at a 45 degree angle for the saw blade and a 50 degree angle for the base.

Step 4: Step 4: Gluing / Screwing

For this step you will need to screw/ glue 1 your base

If you decide to go the gluing route ( Which failed for me ) you will need to take your big 90 degree elbow, and your two angled PVC pipes and hot glue them together. Glue your pipes together first, then glue the elbow over them like a cap.

If you decide to screw them together, take your big 90 degree elbow and drill a hole the size of your screw into it. Then Line your elbow up with the 2 pieces of pipe stuck together and drill another hole into those. Then insert a screw and a bolt that'll fit and squeeze these three pieces together.

Step 5: Step 5: Creating Your Tip Elbow

For this step you will want to either get duct tape or epoxy.

If you use epoxy, epoxy the 45 degree elbow to your three way elbow and let it set.
If you Use duct tape just do the same thing but secure it more well.

Step 6: Step 6: Assembly

For the final step you are going to Take your base and attach the 90 degree elbows at the end. Then place 2 of your remaining poles into the holes into the these elbows. Then connect your 3 way elbow to the top of these poles facing the end of the base. Place your final pole in the two 45 degree holes. This should result in a three sided tent.
