What size is the square of paper you start with? What thickness of paper did you use. Going by the colour, it looks like it could be tissue paper or wrapping paper. I really want to try this so that I can hide treats inside for our pet bird.

I used origami paper but most paper works and the size doesn't matter as long as they are all the same size. The bigger the paper the larger the cube.

Wow! I have heard that there is no such thing as a stupid question, but I just asked one. If I had stopped and thought about it, it would have been obvious that the paper size depends on what size you want the cubes to be. Thanks for answering in such
    a sweet and understanding way.
