Introduction: How to Play Blackjack (casually)

Disclaimer: This is not the complete way of playing blackjack at casino but a basic way to have fun with your friends.

WARNING: If using coins for your bets, make sure no children get a hold of the coins as the serve as a choking hazard.

Make sure to read all instructions before beginning play

This game works bests when multiple people are playing as well to raise the competition level against each other.

Step 1: Gather Supplies

Standard deck of cards containing all 52 cards (excluding the joker cards) and "money" used for betting

Step 2: Become Familiar With the Value of Each Card

Cards 2-9 have their face value

Cards 10, Jack, Queen, and King have a face value of 10

Ace has a face value of 1 or 11 depending on what helps you the most

Step 3: Decide the Dealer

Determine who the dealer will be as this is the person who you are playing against even if there are multiple people you are playing along with.

You will not playing against the other players just the dealer. However, you can make it a competition against the other players to see who can earn the most.

Step 4: Betting

Decide how much "money" you want to bet. After deciding, place your bet on the table. Don't get too risky at first!

Step 5: Dealing

The dealer will deal 2 random cards both with the face up to each player (called your hand)

The dealer will deal 2 random cards to themselves with one card facing up and the other facing down

The objective is to have your hand have a value of 21 or close to 21 without going over 21 (bust)

Step 6: Playing Your Hand

Depending on the current value of your hand in front of you, you can 'hit' for another card if your current value is much less than 21

Or 'stand' to not receive another card if you feel satisfied that your current hand value is the closest to 21 you will get and that the dealer doesn't have a hand value closer to 21

Step 7: Revealing of Dealers Cards

After everyone at the table is satisfied with their hand, the dealer will reveal their last card in their hand by turning it over, facing up

Step 8: Results

If you have a larger face value than 21, you bust

If you have a lower hand value than the dealer, you lose

If you have a higher hand value than the dealer or have a value of 21, you win!

Step 9: Receive Payment

If you have won, receive the payout "money"

Step 10: Playing More Rounds

Repeat steps 3-9 if you want to go another around with your friends
