About: My Moto: Making projects FROM Scratch IN Scratch

Narwhale.io is a popular, engaging .io game where players are a narwhal (a type of whale with a big tusk) and they need to stab others with their tusks to become the best. The game can take a while to master as there are different tricks and techniques to becoming a pro.

Step 1: Make Yourself a Username

Write a fun, silly username! You can even add emojis. This is the username other players will see you as in the game. Make sure it's appropriate, though.

Step 2: Customize Your Narwhal

You can customize your narwhal by pressing the small button in the bottom right corner. It should allow you to change the colour and skin of your narwhal. Use the arrows on the side to look through the options or just randomize it. You can be as creative as you like! This is the image that other players will see you as.

Step 3: Find a Full Server

Under your username, there will be two buttons. These buttons will help you find a game or server with other players because sometimes they will be empty. Use the button on the left to select a game mode or map size. You can also check how many players are in that game by look at the number in brackets. The button on the right shows you what part of the world to play in, normally for the smoothest gameplay and best internet connection. But you can play on other countries too if there are more players.

Step 4: Movement

If you have a mouse then the narwhal will follow the mouse cursor. This allows you to swim or move around. You can also do this with a touchpad, but it might be harder to control. You can play Narwhale.io on mobile! There are different options for mobile like drag or joystick. Drag means the narwhal will follow your finger. This is quite an easy option, good for beginners. Joystick is when you have a small circle in the corner which you can use to move your narwhal.

Step 5: Speed

You can speed to quickly cut through other players. This is vital. When you join, there will be a small white dot next to your tusk. This is your speed boost. If you are using a mouse, you can left-click to speed boost. If you are on mobile, just tap the screen. Once you've boosted, the circle will turn grey as it reloads. You can have multiple speed boosts, but you need more kills to be able to reach that amount.

Step 6: Retract

Retract can be really important if you want to escape from top players or trick them. Retract is when you move back very quickly, normally to get out of a tricky situation or confuse the other player. On a laptop, you can press shift or right-click. On mobile, just double-tap the screen.

Step 7: Stabbing

Use your speed boost to stab other players. Stab them by running through their body. You can't stab yourself! Stabbing and eliminating other players is the key to becoming the top. When you stab another player, their body will split into two.

Step 8: Leveling Up

You can level up by getting more kills. The more you level up, the more upgrades you get (like longer tusks or speed boost upgrades). These powers can help you get even more kills, and eventually get top 5 on the leader board. You can see the leader board at the top right corner of the game which shows the best players and their level. Your level can be seen in the bottom left corner - and remember that you always start off as level one when you first join the game.
