Everyone has experienced it once, you want to remove a piece of tape or adhesive tape from paper, but during the removal the paper breaks.

At work I saw a colleague approach this in a different way and I have been using this way ever since. In this Instructable I would like to share this with you!

To show how it works, I started by sticking 2 pieces of tape on an A4 sheet as a test object.

Step 1: The Old Way

Before I learned this trick I always tried to carefully pull the tape off the paper. Sometimes this went well, but most of the time the paper broke.

Step 2: The New Way

The best way to remove the tape from the paper without breaking the paper is very simple. You just have to pull hard on the ends of the tape.

As you can see in the pictures, you pull the strip of tape longer and longer and the sides of the strip gradually loosen without breaking the paper. You can carefully remove the last piece that remains attached.
