Introduction: How to Remove a Hotwheels Car Withour Wrecking the Card

Going to markets is OK for me, I am up early anyways - This particular market we turned up extremely early and I got to help a car collector lay out his stall.

I asked him a million questions about the cars and their respective values, when the stall was set up I swapped him an Instructables sticker an my time for a car.

Somewhere in my million questions he brought out one of his favourite cars which was out of the card - ext he brought out a perfect card - I was looking fir the rip in it or some damage but there was none! So question #874,563 was "How did you get that car out?!?".

So, this is what I wil show you now.

Step 1: How To...

So, to get a Hotwheels car out of the card without wrecking the card? simple...

Grab a knife, craft knives are best because they have a thin blade.

Eye about where the top of the bubble (the part the car sits in) meets the cardboard, you need to insert just the tip of the knife so you can see it.

If your knife is in the right spot (one of the top corners is best) you can cut across the length of the card behind the bubble.

Now pull the bulk of the blade out and twist it 90*, cut down the short side of the card and then remove the knife.

Go to the other short side of the card ad insert the knife making your third cut.

When you have made your cuts you can fold the flap you just made down on the remaining piece of card you left - the base.

Once folded down you can get your car out!

If you are having troubles folding down the flap after the car is removed you can easily grab the "tab" on the bottom of the card underneath the bubble and twist it slightly (sorry, no photo).

Thanks for reading, I hope this helps some collectors (and kids) feel better about pulling that awesome car out of its packet!
