How to Replace Door Knob Lock Dead Bolt

In today's video we are taking a look at , how easy and simple is to replace a door lock. From a simple door knob all the way to a dead bolt. This job only takes about 15 minutes to complete from finish to end. The great thing is that anyone can do it, and with everyday tools, you can get the job done

Tools needed:

1. hammer
2. screw driver flat
3. phillips screw driver
4. drill
5. wood
6. plyers
7. rubber mallot

Step 1: Step 1 : Remove Old Lock Screws

First we are going to remove the old lock, and first we start by removing the both screws.

Step 2: Step 2: Remove Center Cylinder

If you need extra help you can always use a flat head screwdriver or a set of plyers

Step 3: Step 3: Install New Dead Bolt Center Cylinder

Now that we have removed the center locking cylinder we can proceed to install the new dead bolt center cylinder, in this step we are going to need a piece of wood and a hammer or you can use a mallet.

Step 4: Step 4: Install Remaining Lock Parts

Now that we have done the hard part, now we only have to do the process backwards and install the key hole , knob and screws
