Introduction: How to Use Switches and Timers in WPLSoft? | Examples (Beginners)

About: SMART THINKERS makes tutorials of software use in engineering cycle. It will help engineering student to learn software easily. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCKxxw5aIytdDkdXBPMt39ng

In this tutorial, we are showing how to use switches and timers in real time applications as an example for practise.

Step 1: Read the Given Tasks/exersices

After reading exersice or given tasks specify inputs and outputs and switches need to add in your ladder diagram.

Step 2: Create New File

If you don't know how to use Delta WPLSoft Simulator, you can watch our tutorial.

Step 3: Make Ladder Diagram of Exersice 1

INPUT: Start/Stop switches, Water detector sensor.

OUTPUT: Pumping motor.

Step 4: Check Ladder Diagram Using Simulator

When we 'Start', motor will not run until water detector sensor senses the water. If sensor senses water, motor will run and will run because of latching switch 'Motor'.

Step 5: Make Ladder Diagram of Exersice 2

INPUT: Start/Stop switch, Timers

OUTPUT: Forward direction, Reverse direction.

Step 6: Check Your Ladder Diagram Running Forward (10 Seconds)

When we 'Start (X0)', timer will start for 10 seconds after 10 seconds 'T0' will high and makes motor to run 'FORWARD' direction. 'STOP (X4) switch is there to stop motor at any instant.

Step 7: Check Your Ladder Diagram Running Reverse (10 Seconds)

When we 'Start (X1)', timer will start for 10 seconds after 10 seconds 'T1' will high and makes motor to run 'REVERSE' direction until X0 not press.'STOP (X4) switch is there to stop motor at any instant.
