Introduction: Ice Cube Tray

Hello! Today I going to learn you how to do an Ice Cube Tray in Fusion 360 just in few steps. This projects is really useful especially for students living in a Dorms. By printing it, you can use it every day! So let's get

Step 1: Center Rectangle

First of all, click on origin point and drag your mouse out. Then type 12 inches for the length and 4 inches for the width. You would see a rectangle that going to be a base for our Ice Tray.

Step 2: Extrude

Click latter "E" to extrude an Ice Tray. Click arrow, put 2 inches for height and click Enter. Click letter "R" and pick top surface. And here we start working on the notches for the ice. On picture 3 you can see demotions for it.

Step 3: Sketch Dimension

Click "D" for dimension shortcut. Then click on rectangle line, after on outer-line and drag mouse to the left and click somewhere. Type 2.5 inches and click Enter. Do the same instructions with the left side of in side rectangle.

Step 4: Extrude Cut

Click letter "E" for endure. Drag arrow down and put -1.30 inches (be sure that you put negative sign before dimension so you will get a space for ice). Next we want to add taper so ice cube pop out from tray. Type in -10.0 degrees in Taper Angle box.

Step 5: Fillet Modify

Click "F" for fillet modify. Select all of the lines to make this cut. Put 0.13 for a radius. So now we have one slot for and ice cube.

Step 6: Rectangular Pattern

The last step is to create more slots for ice cubes. Click Create on your upper menu. Then go down and click Pattern-Rectangular Pattern. Click Select and then Extrude and Fillet. After click on Directions and type 10.4 for a distance and 8 for a number of times that we want our cut out to be copy. Next drag the arrow up, type 2 for number of copies and 1.95 for a distance.

Step 7: Shell

Click "S" for a shortcut menu and type Shell into the box and press Enter. Select all 4 sides and the bottom of Tray. Put 0.07 in Inside Thickness box and click Ok.

Step 8: Rounding Edges

Click "F" for a Fillet and select all four corners. Put 0.4 inches for radius.
