Introduction: Jungle Triple Cup Holder
Have you ever been on a long car ride or in a smaller home? Have you ever had cup messes before? Thanks to this simple device that you can make yourself, you no longer face the frustration of being in a tight squeeze and having to throw your cups all around.
Supplies
- 4 popsicle sticks
- Green acrylic paint
- Painting supplies (palette, brush, etc.
- 1 strip of cardboard
- Craft glue (preferably Elmer’s)
- Pencil
- Twine
- Rubber band
Step 1: Paint Sticks
Paint the popsicle sticks green. Make a splotchy pattern (as shown above) to replicate leaves. Tip: To make splotches, hold your brush upwards with the bristles facing down. Quickly push the brush straight down, then pull it straight back up. You should have a splotch.
Step 2: Make a Square
Glue each stick together to form a square-shaped frame. Wait for the glue to dry.
Step 3: Mix & Paint
Mix light and dark green shades together until you get a result you’re happy with. Paint the cardboard strip that shade until you’ve completely covered the strip. Wait for the paint to dry.
Step 4: Glue the Pieces
Glue the frame and cardboard strip together. While the strip acts as a ”holder” for the rubber band, the frame keeps the cups in.
Step 5: Add the Rubber Band
Add the rubber band by stretching it over the frame, and onto the cardboard strip. You should have a cup holder now.
