Light Up Box

For my lessons in school i had to create an object with certain specifications. So i instantly thought of this: A box that provides upward light. A simple concept. The idea came from something i saw on the streets. There was this little light underneath a bottle that made the fluids inside shine.

Step 1: Draw What You Want to Make and Think of a Way to Do It.

started out by sketching what i wanted to make. once you do that you can easily see the path you have to take to make it.

Step 2: Gather Your Materials

I bought a little led light, a rotation station. Found some stuff around my house like some plastic and cardboard.

Step 3: Make a 3d Drawing for Printing

i started with making the box i wanted it in. Made a simple box and cut it out of wood with a laser cutter.

Step 4: Assemble the Box

Glued the box, bolted the platform on and made stands for the light.

Step 5: Admire Your Work

This is the finished product. An illuminating rotatable box.
