Introduction: Magnetic Levitating Pen/pencil

Making a magnetic levitating pencil

Supplies

1 pen/pencil
X-Acto knife
Cardboard
Glue
6 donut shaped magnets

Step 1: Measuring the Cardboard for Pencil Stabilizer

This is the part that connects to the pencil and stabilizes it.

Step 2: Measuring the Main Cardboard Price

Should be 6.5x6 (inches)

Step 3: Glueing the Pencil Stabilizer to the Main Price of Cardboard

Should be at the front edge

Step 4: Measuring How Far Apart the Magnets Should Be

They should be 3 3/4 and 2.5 inches. There should be a little whole for them to fit in. Glue them in. Make sure that when you put them in they don’t attract to the magnets. If they do then turn the magnets upside down and then it should work.

Step 5: Putting the Magnets on the Pencil

They should be 3 inches apart

Step 6: Make a Little Hole in the Cardboard So It Can Stabilize the Pencil From Going Crazy

Don’t make the whole too big or else it will ruin the point of the project

Step 7: Finishing It Up

Once you put everything in you should have a floating pencil
