Introduction: Make a No-Bite Collar
Jack our 4 month young pup has been licking his inner thighs raw. We thought about an Elizabeth Collar or an e collar but we where worried about the time Jack spent in his crate, going up and down the stairs and playing around the house. So for a comfortable alternative to the traditional Elizabeth Collar or dog cone I came up with this simple basically free No Bite Collar.
This would be perfect for dogs or cats that have surgery, sprayed or neutered as well.
Step 1: Gather You Supplies
1. hand towel (for larger dogs you will need to use a full body towel and trim if necessary)
2. 1 or 2 tie down strap, or belt, or if you don't really love your mut then you could use tape
3. Scissors
4. Tape measure
Step 2: Measure
Measure from the bottom of your pups neck to the top of the shoulder blade.
Step 3: Roll Your Towel to Size
Step 4: Strap Down the Towel Snug
Step 5: Sit Back and Relax
Jack is comfortable in his new collar and for the past 2 HOURS he has not licked his leg once.

This collar is absolutely amazing in its simplicity! My Scottish Terrier's breeder passed on this link in the event we need a collar for some upcoming surgery. I've had to use an Elizabethan collar numerous times in the past - and they are plain awful - for both dogs and owners! Should I need a collar come next week, I will most certainly go this route.
