Hi there, i've decided to rebuild my old heavy rangefinder and i.. Removed it and threw into bin, after that made the new one and this is a tutorial about it.

Materials you need:

1) scissors

2) paint in balloon

3) acrylic paint in tubes

4) paint for scale models

5) packing out of.. smth. For example, out of Christmas toys. You need sheet of thin plastic anyway

Step 1: Beginning

You need to draw the templates or download it (here is the file) and redraw them onto sheet of plastic. After that you need to paste together your templates and also you can add frame made of toothpicks

Step 2: Painting Part 1

You should paint your rangefinder using the paint in balloons

Step 3: Painting Part 2

You can do the washing using acrylic paint in tube, you need to mix two colours (dark brown and black) with water and cover the surface with a sponge. Doing it you should not forget to dry your model with hairdryer

Step 4: Finishing

If you add some electronic, lamp or smth different you need to hide the wires. Personally i made a flashlight there and.. This is how it looks now, i can press the red button by my chin and it looks like automatic activation, because no one can see what i'm doing in me helmet:)
