Introduction: Melted Crayon Art
This is a fun project that is quick and simple.
Step 1: Gather Supplies
Supplies needed include:
- canvas
- crayons
- glue
- scissors or knife if needed to help remove crayon wrappings
- sharpie if desired to add words or quotes
Step 2: Set Up the Canvas
Lay the canvas the way the way you would like it.
Step 3: Pick Crayons and Remove Wrapping
Remove the crayon wrappers. (If needed use scissors or a knife to remove wrappings easier.)
You can use as many or as few crayons as you want.
Step 4: Break Crayons
Break the crayons in half.
Step 5: Glue Crayons
Glue the crayons to the top of the canvas. Let sit fro a few minutes so the glue can dry.
Step 6: Set Up Work Area
Lay paper towels on the surface where you plan on completing the project, to avoid making a mess.
Then place canvas on top of paper towels.
Step 7: Plug in Hair Dryer
Plug in hair dryer, and place on high heat
Step 8: Melt the Crayon
Use the hair dryer to melt the crayon
Step 9: Clean Up
Turn off hair dryer, and unplug
Also, throw away paper towels
Step 10: Add a Writing, If Desired
if desired take a sharpie and write a quote or certain words on the canvas
Step 11: Finished
Admire finished product
Hang up or use to decorate if desired
