This is a mini bottle brush I made on the fly one day when I needed to scrub out a small vase. It worked so well for me, I figured I'd share it :-). It's a great way to clean out bottles and vases with openings that are too small for a normal bottle brush, and can be easily adjusted for different shapes and sizes of bottles and vases!

Step 1: What You Need

You will need:

A thin stick, such as a bamboo skewer
A couple pipe cleaners

That's all!

Step 2: Make the Brush End

Twist the pipe cleaners together. Then begin wrapping them tightly around the stick, starting about an inch from the end. Try to cover the end when you get to it, and then begin wrapping back toward where you started. You should end up with a "bottle brush" end about 1 inch long.

Step 3: Scrub Out All the Bottles and Vases!

Now you can clean small vases with ease! Just squirt a bit of soap and water in, and scrub around until it looks clean! Then rinse it out. As mentioned in the introduction, it's easy to tweak it to suit your needs. For example, for a bottle with a very narrow opening, I unwrap a bit of the pipe cleaner a little longer than the neck of the bottle, to stick up along the stick, so if the pipe cleaner happens to come off the stick and get stuck in the bottle, I'll have something to pull it out with. In the third picture, I made part of the pipe cleaner stick out to the side, to reach stuff stuck to the side of the base of the tallest vase in the last picture.
