Introduction: Miniature Bakery Fresh Paczkis (donuts)

About: An eloquent assemblage of idealistic irrelevance. Hi-jinks, art, technology, and souped-up household items.

Miniature polymer clay golden european pastries iced with sugar lemon icing and filled with tart rosehip jam, these adorable paczkis are just what the good doctor ordered!

Step 1: Materials

Materials

yellow polymer clay

white polymer clay

brown polymer clay

TLS (translucent liquid sculpey)

sculpey gloss glaze

white soft pastel

red soft pastel

brown soft pastel

Step 2:

Mix a ball of white clay about 1/3 the size of a marble and a ball of yellow clay about 1/8 the size of a marble. Flatten it a little with your finger. Scrape some of the brown pastel into dust and brush it onto the paczki on top and on bottom, careful to leave a ring in the middle bare. Dig a small dent into the side of the paczki with a needle. This is where the rosehip jam will peek out.

Step 3:

Mix a couple drops of TLS with white soft pastel dust to make the icing more opaque (not shown). Ice the paczki with the TLS mixture and bake on a tray covered with aluminum foil at 275 degrees °F for 4 min. Remove from oven and allow to cool. Mix TLS with red and brown soft pastel until it is the colour of rosehip jam. Place a drop on top of the pazcki and another drop in the side dent. Bake again at the previous temperature for 3-5 min.

Step 4: Give It Some Shine

Complete your adorable paczki by glazing it with the sculpey gloss glaze.
