Step 1: Gather Dry Ingredients

Measure 1/4 cup of baking soda, 1/4 cup of citric acid and 1/4 cup of epsom salts (with coconut oil) and add to a bowl. Mix to combine.

Step 2: Add Glitter (optional)

If desired, add an all natural beauty glitter to the dry ingredients. Add until the desired consistency.

Step 3: Gather Wet Ingredients

Measure 3 tablespoons of olive oil, 1 tablespoon of water and add to your second bowl. Mix to combine.

Step 4: Add a Scent (optional)

Add in drops of essential oil to the wet mixture until the scent wanted is achieved. Mix well to combine.

Step 5: Add Coloring (optional)

Add a safe all-natural soap dye to the wet mixture until the desired color is reached. Mix well to combine.

Step 6: SLOWLY Combine the Mixtures

Slowly combine the mixtures. Be careful! Only add about 1 tablespoon of the wet mixture to the dry mixture at a time. Stirring to combine fully between tablespoons. Do this until the dry mixture still feels dry to the touch but will hold a shape if squeezed together like damp sand. You will probably not use your whole wet mixture and this is okay!

Step 7: Mold Your Bath Blasts

Put your bath blast mixture into the molds you are using. You can use a cupcake tin, silicone baking molds or even cookie cutters. A lot of household items can double as bath blast molds. Using cookie cutters is pictured above.

Step 8: Dry the Bath Blasts

Leave your bath blast overnight to dry before taking it out of its mold to ensure it will not crumble. To shorten up time you can place the bath blasts in an oven set to warm(about 150 degrees Fahrenheit) for 45 minutes if your mold is oven safe. When removing, if they tend to stick try to run a knife alone the edges to loosen it.

Step 9: Prepare the Bag for Your Bath Blast

Make sure to wash your hands for this step! If you have oil on your hands from previous steps your fingerprints will dirty your cellophane wrapping. If you have cellophane gift bags you can skip this step. If you are using cellophane gift wrap then cut a square 15in x 15in in size.

Step 10: Fill Your Bag

Place some type of filler in the middle of your plastic cut out. Shredded paper confetti is used in the picture above. After removing the bath blast from the mold, place it in the middle of the filler.

Step 11: Tie Your Bag Up

Bring all the corners of your plastic cut out in the middle to form a bag for your bath blast. Add a ribbon to hold it shut.
