Introduction: Not Your F***ing Kitty

About: Mother of two small children. Create stuff is a nice way to get the stress of my shoulders
Well, though my kitten has "some" reassemblens with another famous kitty, this one has integrity.

I made her seven year ago and have used her for other projects, she has for a long time been sitting on the right hand side of my motorcycle helmet (yes, correctly, pointing a finger to the once I pass ;) )

I needed a new beanie and when creating one for my daughter, I thought that my kitty should be seen in the wintertime as well as in the motorcycle season.

Step 1: Materials and Tools

50-100 grams of yarn (thickness suitable for a 3-3 1/2 crochet hook), I used a merino wool, to get warm.

50 grams of a super thin wool yarn to use alongside the first yarn, this makes the beanie fluffier.

Yarn in kitty colors: black, white, a little yellow, and optionally a pink, if the rest of your beanie isn't pink.

For instruction on how to make magic ring, see youtube, I found this one that was really good: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sLUaywX0-WE

Step 2: Pattern and Sketch

I added the scetch as an attachment and the pattern is below.

Please bear in mind that we all crochet differently so try the beanie on while making it to see that it fits you.

My head is 57 cm around.

Round1. Make magic ring and 5sc in ring (5)

Round2. 2sc in each st around (10)

Round3. *Sc in next st, 2sc in next st* and repeat from * around (15)

Round4. *Sc in next 2 st,2sc in next st* and repeat from * around (20)

Round5.* Sc in next 3 st,2sc in next st* and repeat from * around (25)

and so on until....

Round 14. At this stage, I started to implement the kitty, I have tried to take a lot of pictures, if you need help, there is a lot of useful guides on youtube, or just send a comment and I try to answer. As you make the kitten pattern you will continue with the increase as before until you have 5*20 = 100 (next step).

Round 20. * Sc in next 18 st,2sc in next st* and repeat from * around (100)

Round 21 - Round 48. *Sc in next st* and repeat from * around.

I was out of pink yarn at this point and had to find another one, I took this lilac and continued to add the same thin pink yarn through the entire beanie.

Round 49-55. Switch yarn to lilac. *Sc in next st* and repeat from * around.

Step 3: Attach Yarn Ends

Use a needle to hide all yarn ends inside the beanie.

I'm sorry that I don't seem to have any pictures for this step.

Done, now it's time to go outside :)
