Introduction: Ocean Lamp

In this tutorial I will be teaching you how to make a very beautiful Ocean Lamp. With only some shells, twine, lights, and a mason jar you can be decorating your own house with homemade decor.

Step 1: Gathering Materials

For this project you won't need to spend much money or practically none at all. Here are all the materials you will need:

1. One Mason Jar with a lid on top.

2. Shells. Make sure they are not cracked in they are in different sizes to make it look better.

3. One fake candle light.

4. One hot glue gun with a sticks of glue.

5. Any twine will work. I used green, but brown twine would be a better choice.

Step 2: Filling Mason Jar

Take the shells and place them carefully in the jar. Find a few bigger ones and place them in first. Then fill the outside with smaller shells so the jar looks fuller. Leave about an inch off the top so the light can fit.

Step 3: Hot Glue the Fake Candle Onto the Lid

Preheat the hot glue before this step for about 3 minutes. Then place the lid of the Mason jar topside down. Center the candle into the middle of the lid. Carefully hot glue the outside of the candle onto the lid.

Step 4: Add the Twine to the Lid

Take the end of the twine and hot glue it to the side of the lid. Once it has cooled begin to wrap the outside of the lid (coiling around) and at places, pause and put more hot glue on. Once at the height of the side of the lid glue the end on and cut the rest off.

Then on the top glue the end of the twine on the edge and wait for it to cool. Then wrap the twine around the edge, and at places, pause and put more hot glue on. Once in the middle, glue the end of the string and cut the rest off.

Step 5: Final Touches...

Turn on your light and screw on the lid. Place in your favorite spot for decor. Enjoy your brand new Ocean Lamp.
