Introduction: Pocket Journal

About: We love k'nex, 3d printing, electronics, painting and all sorts of other cool things.

These little notebooks can easily fit in a pocket, and make a perfect journal, notebook, or sketch book. I was inspired to make these from this instuctable. It is really easy to make, and I hope you enjoy it!

Supplies

You will need:

A glue stick

Hot or school glue

Scissors

A pencil

Patterned Cardstock

Solid Cardstock in coordinating colors

Rubber bands

A dictionary

Printer paper cut in half lengthwise.(The amount will vary according to the thickness you want your notebook to be).

Step 1: Folding

Fold each strip of paper as shown.

Step 2: Glueing

Glue the folded strips together as shown, then glue the insides of the pages together. (See note in first picture) Then, put a dictionary on top.

Step 3: Make the Cover

Cut a 6 1/2 x 4 1/2 piece out of the patterned cardstock and fold it as shown.

Step 4: Put the Pages Into the Cover

Cover the crease with hot glue (on the inside) and stick the pages in. Before you add the pages, you can add a ribbon for a bookmark. Glue the first and last pages to the inside of the front and back cover.

Step 5: Decorate!

With the solid cardstock, decorate the notebook. Then, put a rubber band on to keep it closed.

You could even use lined paper for a more professional look, although the cutting and folding would most likely be different.
