Introduction: Preparation of a Shredder for Various Tests.
Hi friends, this is my first post. Unfortunately I speak English poorly. To write a post I use Google translator.
Step 1: The Idea of Making a Video.
First we shot a video with molten aluminum. But such videos were not very popular with subscribers.
There was an idea to shoot a video using a shredder machine.
Step 2: Coloring Shredder
For the recognition of the channel. It was decided to paint the shredder in yellow strips. Still make the main color blue (about this a little further).
Step 3: Shredder Preparation.
After buying the shredder, immediately came up with a drill.
But the idea failed, it was very uncomfortable and unsafe. The shredder turned over, and it was difficult to hold the drill.
Step 4: Unsuccessful Videos
Using a drill, the videos were still filmed. Beauty in the experiment did not work. There was a usual video of which and so it is full in YouTube.
Step 5: Gear Motor
After an unsuccessful test, a motor reducer was added.
Step 6: Motor and Shredder
Turned to the turner. The master assembled a construction for me.
Step 7: Stable Slow Shredder Operation
The shredder on the new design began to work fine. Several videos were filmed. Faced with the problem that large shredder objects can not be bragged.
Step 8: Future Plans
Current motor, weak - 0,18 kW
I plan to replace in the future with a more wet 1.2 kW

Participated in the
Invention Challenge 2017

When I looked for the shredder, I saw the details. I bought it on ebay.

Do you have a link to the page for the shredder you bought?
When I search eBay for "shredder", all I can find is, "paper shredder" and "cheese shredder".

By the way, I have been sort of watching a similar project, called "Precious Plastic", and I might as well share some links into that for anyone interested in what their shredder looks like.
