Introduction: Pumpkin From Scratch
I want to show you how to create a scratch image using materials that make the art. In high school, my recent art teacher show me how to do this and tend to use this additional skill in art for future portraits and drawings.
Supplies
1 poster board. Acrylic black paint. Oil pastels. Toothpick or scratch tool
Step 1: Step 1: Draw the Image
Get you a poster board and use oil pastels to draw any drawing you want
Step 2: Step 2: Take Reference
Once you draw the image on the poster board, use your phone to take a picture of the image and use it to guide you when get to the scratching stage.
Step 3: Step 3: Pouring
Once you take the picture on your phone, start to pour the black paint over the poster board until it’s completely black.
Step 4: Step 4: Scratching
Once you got the poster board completely fill with black paint, let it dry about 1 hour, then you grab a tool such as a toothpick or scratch tool to get ready and scratch the image. Before you start, use your phone as a guidance by the image that you took picture of to show you what it looked like before the black paint. Then, scratch the image like you shading the drawing and once you’re done, it should like the image you drawed.
