Introduction: Pumpkin and Cranberry Cat Treats!

There's a ton of dog treat recipes out there, but what about our feline friends? They deserve some seasonal treats too! That's why I have created a recipe that is safe, simple and plenty enjoyable for your cats to munch on. Now with that, it's time to get to baking!

Step 1: Step 1: Getting Prepared

Here is a list of ingredients you will need:

  • 1 teaspoon of canned pumpkin with no added spices
  • 1/2 a cup of rolled oats
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons of unsweetened, dried cranberries
  • 2 oz cooked, unseasoned plain chicken
  • 1 tablespoon and 1/4 teaspoon of olive oil
  • 1/2 tablespoon dried catnip
  • 1 egg

You will also need to have access to a food processor or blender, oven and freezer for this recipe.

Step 2: Step 2: Mixing the Dough

You will need to start by grinding up your oats in your food processor, a blender also works for this. Blend the oats until they are a flour like consistency and texture. After that, add your cranberries to the machine with the blended oats, and blend these until they are finely ground. Finally, add the rest of your ingredients, mix until everything is combined.

Step 3: Step 3: Time to Bake!

Preheat your oven to 350°, and put parchment paper down on your baking pans. Measure out desired treat size, I did about 1 teaspoon sized proportions, and put the balls of dough on your pans about one inch apart. Finally, load them into the oven and let them cook for about 16 minutes. Allow them to cool, once you have taken them out.

Step 4: Step 4: Enjoying!

After allowing enough time to cool, it's now time for your feline friends to have a delightful snack! You can add these treats to their food dish, or just hand feed it to them.
