Introduction: Quick Biscuits

Yeast rolls are great but sometimes you don't have the time.

Step 1: Only 3 Ingredients Needed

1 1/2 cups self rising flour

1 cup butter milk

1/2 cup butter

I never buy self-rising flour so I made some by adding 2 1/4 tsp baking power and 1/2 tsp salt to bread flour.

I never buy butter milk so I made some buy adding a Tbs lemon juice to a cup of milk and waiting 10 minutes.

Step 2: Freeze the Butter

Grate the frozen butter then combine with the flour using a fork.

Chill for 10 minutes.

Add the butter milk and stir 15 times ONLY.

Step 3: Roll and Fold

turn out on floured surface. Roll and fold 4 times.

Cut out with floured glass or I cut the end off a plastic cup that was the size I wanted.

Bake at 450 degrees until golden brown. Brush with butter. Great with gravy, jelly or just straight.
