Router Table Jointer

I need to joint some edge banding so I looked around to see what I had because, well, I don't have a jointer. I found some 2 sided mounting tape which is ~1/16" thick and a little veneer.

Step 1: The Setup

I cut the veneer 12" long and the same width as the tape. After I applied the tape to the veneer, I lightly sanded the end of the veneer to give it a bit of a bevel. Tape it to the out feed side of your router table fence and set the fence so that your bit is flush with the veneer. I took 2 or 3 passes to get my fence just right, but now I shave ~1/16" off my work piece.
