Introduction: Simple Art Project - Bead Bracelet

Sometimes you need an art project that is simple and uses few materials and not a lot of time. Behold! The simple bead bracelet. It is fun, inexpensive and easy to make which is great if you are working with children, are short on time, or need to make a lot of them.

Materials:

Cloth or leather cord - 24 inches

Colored beads - 11

Step 1: Measure

Measure out about 24 inches of cord. This should be more than enough. The excess will be trimmed at the end.

Step 2: Choose Your Beads

Count out eleven beads.

Step 3: Place and Tie the First Knot

Measure out about four fingers from the end of the cord.

Tie a knot.

Step 4: String First Bead and Secure

Slide your first bead on to the cord from the long side.

Tie a knot next to the bead to secure it in place.

Don't be too quick to tighten this knot until you are satisfied it's close enough to the bead. You may need to untie it and try again if it lands too far off.

Step 5: Repeat Until All 11 Beads Are String

Keep adding beads and securing them with knots until they are all strung.

When tying the bracelet on, try no to make it too tight! Again, try not to tighten the knot too soon so that it can be removed and retied if necessary.

That's it! Hope you enjoy this simple and easy art project.
