Simple Clothespin Gun : 17 Steps

This is a simple clothes pin gun I made, I am sure their are probably a million ways to make one, but here is my way. And obviously DON'T aim at the eyes.

Step 1: Materials

Try to get a non rotten clothespin for it can easily snap, and a nice strong elastic.

Step 2: Tools

Get a saw blade, for you will be cutting a little bit, also a file would be nice.

Step 3: Take Apart the Clothespin

This is simple, take out the two wood pieces and the metal part, but keep them.

Step 4: Cut Along the Blue Line

In the picture cut on the blue line /where the metal spring usually is /

Step 5:

Step 6: Now Put Them Together on the Flat Edge

Put the 2 prices together along the flat edge of the clothes pin.

Step 7: Put a Notch in

Now take the longer piece of wood and put a notch in it / the blue triangle /

Step 10: Now Put an Elastic Aron's the End

Wrap the elastic around the 'round' part on the two clothespins. Make sure it not too tight or you can't move it, or too loose for it might come apart.

Step 12: Attache the Trigger

Now to put the trigger on simply pull it open a bit then put it on the skinny tip of the clothespin. Then slide it to the notch you made earlier

Step 13: To Cock the Gun

To cock the gun, simply push the top piece forward until it grasp the metal bar, ten pull it back until the metal bar slides into the hole. Then put a projectile in and pull the spring part back.
