String Art Cactus

Hi everyone! I'm a student from Vienna/Austria. In this instructable I am going to show you how to make a string art cactus. The string art will be nice for decoration in any room. It is fun and easy to make! I hope you have as much fun as I had!

Step 1: Supplies

To make the string art cactus you will need:

• wooden panel
• pencil
• nails
• hammer
• green yarn
• pink yarn

Step 2: Trace + Hammer in Nails

First you have to draw the cactus with a pencil on the wooden panel or you can use a paper template. Then you have to hammer in the nails with an equal distance.

Attention: Please make sure that the wooden plate is a little thicker.

Step 3: Tie Vase

Now you can start tying the vase. I chose two different shades of pink. The order of the yarn doesn`t matter. At the end, the vase is tied all around.

Step 4: Tie Cactus

Now you can start with the cactus. Make sure that each nail is tied with the green thread.The order of the yarn doesn`t matter. At the end, the cactus is tied all around.

Step 5: Add String

If you want you can add a string so that you can hang the wood plate on the wall.
