Super Easy Tie and Dye T-shirt Tutorial for Beginners

Hey guys its the triplets (Emma, Alyssa and Katie) from I Create Crafts. In today's tutorial we are going to show you how to create your own tie and dye t-shirts. They are so simple and only take a few minutes to create. You can watch the video here.

Supplies

Short/Long Sleeve V Neck T Shirts Basic Tee Tops

Gildan Men's Crew T-Shirt Multipack

Rit Dye Color Stay Fixative Bundle with Gloves and Rubber Bands

All-Purpose Liquid Dye

Water

Garbage Bags (to keep the counters safe from the color)

Step 1: Get a T-shirt (preferably White) and Do the Designing

There are tons of designs you can try. We did the fork twist.

Hold a fork on the t-shirt. Just keep the fork turning. The fabric will itself come together in a swirl sort of a thing.

Step 2: Secure the T-shirt With Rubber Bands

Put rubber bands across the t-shirt to hold it in place and stop it from opening up.

Step 3: Dip the T-shirt in Cold Water and Then Squeeze It Really Well.

Step 4: Add Your Colors.

Mix some dye and water. You can do whatever concentration of color you want, but remember, the more the water, the lighter the color will be. Then using a dispenser, put drops of the color solution wherever you want to. Let it sit for 24 hours.
