Introduction: Tape Dispenser Prank
In this Instructable, I will show you haw to make a tape dispenser prank. All you need is a tape dispenser and a roll of tape. It takes about 20 seconds to set up, and if done repeatedly, your victim will think he's going crazy.
This goes something along the lines of pre-sliced bananas.
Step 1: What You'll Do
FOR TAPE DISPENSERS LIKE BELOW:
Cut off a piece of tape about one inch long. (Pic 1)
Attach one end to the cutting part. Do this end first. (Pic 2)
Attach the other end to the roll, so the tape is wavy, not taut. (Pic 3)
Roll the tape wheel back a ways, but stop and secure the end to it so it looks normal (Pics 4-6)
FOR THE OTHER KIND OF TAPE DISPENSER WITH THE WEIGHT:
Cut off a piece of tape about 2/3 inches long. (Pic 1)
Attach one end to the cutting part. Do this end first. (Pic 2)
Attach the other end to the roll, so the tape is wavy, not taut. (Pic 3)
Roll the tape wheel back a ways, but stop and secure the end to the roll so it looks normal. (Pics 4-6)
AN ALTERNATE METHOD: (thanks to mr.incredible)
Make a shallowish nick in the tape roll. The deeper it is the longer the trick will happen. When they pull it off it will detach at the nick mark, leaving behind an angle that is difficult to pull off to make the roll reusable.
Step 2: What They'll Do
When the pull the tape (assuming they pull more than about a centimeter), it will detach itself from the roll, coming off in their hand and leaving the solid roll behind!

Nice idea! You cut multiple inch-long sheets of tape off and stick them back together with alternating sides, eg flat, sticky, flat, sticky etc. and finally stuck onto the roll XD Did that last year to the teacher, she started screaming XD

LOL nice one. I've taken photos of about 3 more of this sort of thing, have yet to instructable-ize it. Do you plan to make that/put it in the contest or could I make it but give credit to you?

Another, longer lasting version is to nick the edge of the roll. The nick will cause the tape to tear at that spot every time until the nick is completely rolled off. So don't make the nick too deep into the roll or you will waste a lot of tape. It will also tear at an angle that is tough to get started again.
