Introduction: The Best Veggie Burgers
Okay, so I know what you're thinking.
There is that famous claim that every food blogger makes that their recipe is "the best".
But seriously, these are incredible! I had to store them quickly because I kept tearing bits and pieces off and eating them. The cumin adds the perfect zing of flavor to these. Enjoy!
Step 1: Gather the Ingredients
Ingredients:
1/4 cup boiled potato
3 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup uncooked quinoa
1 15 oz can black beans
4 T Panko breadcrumbs
2 cloves minced garlic
Olive oil ( for cooking)
1 finely chopped carrot
Step 2: Create
Throw all of the ingredients into a food processor or blender and pulse.
Stop, stir, and pulse again for about 30 seconds.
Step 3: Form
Scrape the ingredients out of the blender and into a medium sized bowl and form into 6 parties.
Heat the oil on a skillet and cook the burgers until lightly browned on each side
Step 4: Enjoy!

I think oats would make for an odd texture- rice would probably work though!

this looks great.. but is there any substitute for the quinoa?? does oatmeal work instead?

No you must cook the quinoa first the 1/2 cup measurement was just to get a feel for how much you need straight from the bag :)

Does the quinoa stay uncooked when put in the food processor and if so does it have a weird mouth feel?
