Introduction: The Great Smarties Pyramid

This is an instructable about a pyramid made from Smarties and Starbursts. The pyramid is one hundred percent edible and a really unique project made from candy! It takes around an hour to make and is really satisfying once it is completed. I call it The Great Pyramid of Smarties. The project is very straight forward. If you like our project make sure to give it a vote! Thanks so much, happy pyramid making and candy eating!

Supplies

The supplies consist of 14 smarties rolls/204 smarties give or take. You will also need anywhere from ten to fifteen star burst. It will come in handy if you have a rolling pin, a lighter/other way to heat starbursts, wax paper, and an exacto knife.

Step 1: Foundation of Pyramid

First melt and smoosh 5 Starbursts and roll them out flat so they are very thin. Then put 64 Smarties in an 8x8 arrangement on the flattened Starbursts which will act as a foundation for the pyramid.

Step 2: Layers of Pyramid

Do the exact same thing for the next 5 layers. The layers will get increasingly smaller. Do the next five layers in this order. 7x7 (49 Smarties), 6x6 (36 Smarties), 5x5 (25 Smarties), 4x4 (16 Smarties), 3x3 (9 Smarties). Stack each of these layers on the prior one. From the ground up the layers are 8x8, 7x7, 6x6, 5x5, 4x4, and 3x3.

Step 3: Finishing the Pyramid

For the 2x2 and single Smarty(1x1) Starbursts will not be used. Put the 2x2 on top of the 3x3 and the 1x1 on top of the 2x2. Congratulations! You have just completed your very own pyramid made from candy! Enjoy!
