Introduction: The Legend of Zelda Animation

About: I’m a young animator and VFX artist that uses Adobe After Effects to make creative videos. I one day want to be like Phil Tippett, Jim Henson, and Stan Winston.

How to create an animation. Here is my own animation

Supplies

iPhone/iPad, and FlipaClip App.

Step 1: Starting Your Animation

I used a free software App called FlipaClip for the iPhone/iPad. When starting your animation, you want to create at least 2 layers. The first layer should be the background, and the second is the animation itself.

If you want to learn more about the principals of animation, here is a good video.

Step 2: Animating

After you draw your first frame, click the + in the bottom right to add another. For the background, you can copy and paste it by using the paper icon to copy and the clip board to paste. Also, you can go to project settings and change the frames per second. The higher the FPS, the faster your animation will be.

Step 3: Coloring and Saving

Using the paint bucket tool, you can select different colors. To reuse colors, click the color picker icon on the right of the color menu. Once done, click the three dots in the top right and select 'make movie.' Next, exit your animation and go the 'movies' section, then click the three dots on the bottom of your animation, and click 'save to my device.'

Step 4: Ending

You can use an App like iMovie to put your animation together. That's how you can create animations for anything you need.
