Hi everyone,

First of all i would like to tell you that this is an "WOOD CARE CONTEST" instructable so please vote if you like the project!

This is one of my favourites creation..
I spended enouqh hours to finish it...
Its about a sailboat totaly made of stuff you have at home...

The sailboat is totaly builded by wooden sticks one by one cobined with a hot glue...
All the sticks are one a model made of cardboard and filled up with clay to make it heavier and stronger...
It is about 30x15x40 cm
Enjoy it....

Step 1: Stuff You Will Need for the Project

The Stuff you will need for the project are:

1.Hot Glue Gun
2.Hot Glue Sticks
3.cap of a spray bottle
4.Some cardboard
5.Some Clay
6.Copper leaves
7.Brush
8.Stain
9.Copper wire
10.twine
11.Wooden sticks
12.A strong wire cutter
13.glue tape

Step 2: Make a Model of the Main Body

Take the cardbord and make a model of the body of the saleboat you like
I made this one cause is classic but it is mine!!!
Then bend the card board in the middle and atach the ends with the glue tape...
Now you have the body...

Fill it up with the clay to give weight and strength...
Use the cardboard to close the body and to make the deck of the boat...

Step 3: Making the Mast, the Watcher Stand and the Wind Stairs

Use a wooden stick about 40 cm and mount it in the center of the deck in the clay...
I used one from a flag...
Mound the spray cap on top of the stick...
I used twine for better optic results on the mast and the stand...
Cut some wooden sticks and glue them on for twines about 20 cm long as in the pictures for the stairs..

Step 4: Making the Sails

Take the copper leaves and give them the shape you want...
The benefit is that you can make it seem like as there is a lot of wind there..
Mount some wooden sticks for smaller masts and beggin to connect the sales of the copper..
Make some flags as well with a copper to give some more windy atmosphere to the project!

Step 5: Make Some Banisters and Extras on the Deck

Use some copper wires to make banisters...
Use and some wooden sticks for that too...
A second deck maybe is a good idea with some stairs...
Finaly assembly all the masts with the corner of the boat with a twine..

Step 6: Apply the Stain and Make a Base for the Boat

When you finish the contruction of the boat you are ready to apply the stain...
Please take a dry brush and clean up all that dust and rubish off the boat....
Clean up all the remaining glues as well...
Apply at least 2 layers of stain you like...

After a lot of considering for the making of the base i decide to make a polymer clay fimo base...
I gave the filling of the waves for my boat..
You can make the base you want...

Enjoy the pleasure of creation...
