Introduction: Tin Can Lanterns

About: I love to do anything creative. Whether writing or painting, I am very happy in a web of creativity.

I have seen these before, and I think they are a really cute idea. Especially when a child gets to do it, and you have something that you will be able to keep for years to come that they made with their own hands.

All you need is a tin can; a hammer and thick nails; wire and wire clippers; and candles (whether electric or wax).

Step 0 - Put water in the can, and let it freeze. This will help keep the can in shape when you put in the holes.
Step 1 - Plan out your design whether with a marker or just in your mind.
Step 2 - Hold the nails and hit with a hammer gently to create a hole.
Step 3 - Put holes on the top sides of the can and wrap the wire.
Step 4 - Place a candle in the can.
Step 5 - Hang and enjoy.

The only part that I would add would be to paint the can once the holes are done. That way, even in the light they look nice.
Have fun!
