Introduction: Versatile Clip on Tool

We wanted to design a tool where it can do all the annoying parts of cooking and baking. It can measure, strain, and scoop. We kept in mind that many people have troubles in the kitchen, because of specific measurements and the ways to make a product. Measuring tools can be confusing to many people, including myself. People can struggle trying to find the right measuring spoon just for one item in a multiple step process, slowing their time down. So we invented Versa-Clips, an interchangeable tool that helps in the culinary experience.

It can hold 2 cups of water, strain ingredients like lettuce, and measure around a cup of water inside a bowl.

Supplies

Supplies

  • CAD Software (Mainly Fusion 360)
  • 3D Printer
  • Files listed to print

Step 1: The Design

We designed a large spoon-like tool. The product can be done in many different colors. The handle should have enough grip for the person to hold on while in use. In the middle we can put on a large array of clip-ons that work for every situation.

Step 2: Import & Print

Import the files listed above for the main tool and the others being the interchangeable parts. The files for the main tool are printed in three different parts, while the interchangeable parts are in separate files.

Step 3: Assemble

After done printing, fit the two square parts of the handle together, and the third piece being the circle part. The interchangeable parts are fitted into the middle and can be removed

Step 4: Conclusion

After having built the main tool, you can print whichever interchangeable parts you need, and have a much easier time in the kitchen.
