Introduction: Video Game Slider Cards

This is an instructable on how to make two video game slider cards. One for Portal 2 and one for Super Mario. I came up with the idea for both cards. Happy building!

Step 1: Things You'll Need

2 pieces of thick paper
Markers
X-acto knife
Clear packing tape
Adhesive roller or tape
Scissors

Step 2: Folding Papers

Fold the two papers in half horizontally. Next draw an orange portal and a blue portal on each side of the bottom half of the paper as shown, they must be a little taller than 2 inches.

Step 3: Slider

Use the X-acto knife to cut a vertical slit in each portal ( the slit should be about 2" tall ). Print out the included PDF then cut out the pictures. Cut a piece of packing tape about 17 inches long, and fold it in half so that the sticky sides are stuck to each other. Take the piece of tape and weave it through the cuts so that the two tape flaps are inside.

Step 4: Finishing Touches

Next tape the two black figures onto the sides of the tape piece.  Add more tape at the ends of the original tape flaps so that it acts as a stopper so it won't fall out. Use a pen or pencil to write pull underneath the tape. Add some decorations, and a message and your finished!

You can also use this same card making method to make a Super Mario card.
