Introduction: Wingless Bird

Hi I made wingless bird sculpture with play dough clay. So in this tutorial I will take u through procedures and Moulding.

Supplies

Play dough clay
Newspaper
Water

Step 1: Material Gather

Gather materials. I used play dough clay. Red, white and yellow clay are used

Step 2: Step 2 Clay Divide

Clay is divided for body, head and wings.

Step 3: Balls

White clay is moulded into 4 to 5 balls which will be used for beak and hair.

Step 4: Mould Red Clay

Mould red clay into a ball and create hole inside the ball.

Step 5: Shaping

Shape the white ball into a line for beak and cut it into two parts.

Step 6: Blending

Mould the parts of the beak into the birds head and blend the clay into the head.

Step 7: Step 7

Divide red clay and shape like a leaf to Mould as body and attach to the birds head as shown in pic.

Step 8: Step 8

Divide white clay into 2 parts. Mould into a shape of small ball for eyes. Attach eyes to head.

Step 9: Step 9

Take a piece of red clay and Mould in a bird to make a vertical body.

Step 10: Tail

Mould yellow clay in tail shape to attach the end of vertical body. Use water and bend the tail backwards to attach it to the rear end of the body. Blend the clay into the body to smoothen it.

Step 11: Smoothen

Smoothen clay to like an image

Step 12: Crown

Take white ball and Mould it into a thick line for birds crown. Attach it to the head. Bend the crown to form a backward arc. Smoothen the clay into the head.

Step 13: Elements

Take pieces of red clay and attach it to the birds back body. Blend the edges into the birds body.

Step 14: Step 14

Make two shapes for the wings out of red clay to be used as wings for body. Attach wings to the birds and smoothen it with the help of water

Step 15: Completed

Smoothen the clay and add details
