Introduction: Wireless Charging for Any Phone

About: Artist who enjoys using different types of media. I hope to make many more instructables in the future :)

This is a guide to be able to add wireless charging capabilities to your smart phone.

With technology constantly changing, cellphones change too. A lot of new
phones have wireless charging- this is a way you can add it to your existing phone!

Step 1: Things You Will Need

You will need these:

• Wireless Receiver •

I used a Danforce Apple Gold Receiver https://goo.gl/d6PCdU .

It's for iPhone 7, 7 Plus, 6, 6 Plus, 6s, 6s Plus, 5, 5s, 5c

If your phone is Android then this is a very similar receiver - https://goo.gl/HC2NcP

• Wireless Charger •

I used this Samsung Fast Charge Wireless Charger - https://goo.gl/hsdJbd

There are other chargers that come in different shapes and are a bit cheaper like these:

Anker charger - https://goo.gl/cCGrX1

Choetech charger - https://goo.gl/ghV9aC

Yootech charger - https://goo.gl/AeGaCn

They all have excellent reviews and I'm sure they would work too.

• Smart Phone •

For this Instructable, I used an iPhone7. Just make sure that your receiver is compatible for your phone type.

Step 2: Remove Your Case

Remove your phone case to prep it for the receiver.

Step 3: Set Up Your Wireless Reciever

Plug the receiver into your phone, and put the case back on. Unfortunately, I have a simple clear case. I think I'll probably get a different case seeing as this is not too attractive. It does the job though! I have read that bulky cases like otterbox and the like can -sometimes- interfere with the signal between the receiver and the charger, but if you want to be safe I think something that's of a light-medium thickness would work no problem.

Step 4: Set Up Your Wireless Charger

Here's the wireless charger I got. It comes with the charger, a power cord, and an outlet plug. The cable fit very snugly, so I don't have to worry about it coming loose and interrupting the charge. The charger alternates colors from blue to green when it's not being used. It turns solid blue when charging, and when your phone charges 100% it turns green.

Step 5: You're Done!

That's all there is to it! Your phone is now ready able to charge without cords.
