Introduction: Easy and Cheap Substitute for Servo
well all you need is a broken disk drive. we all know that servos are expensive and hence not affordable to all.
so here i am with a instructable on HOW TO GET A SERVO
Step 1: What All You Have to Do
what all you have to do is just went to a computer shop and ask for broken dvd drives or cd drives.
it will cost about 10 to 30 rs.
now just take the geared part a take it apart using a hand saw.
now you can easily use it in place of servo.
i bring out this servo as few months back i myself was facing a problem as the servo was not available locally and even e bay was not able to provide it.
hope you like it and if you are facing similar problem then you can solve it.

it is not a servo, it is a geared motor

it is used for same work and remember it is CHEAP
what we normally use servo is to rotate a object 180° or 360° back and forth or we use it to stear things and its what it will do
i know it would not stop on its on yet it cost nothing and it works quit fine
so plz don't make me understand what servo is, i know quit well and i have used them as well.
this one is for my friend who like me don't want to waste money and time on buying servos when i can easy use these GEARED motors and moreover servo aren't available everywhere.
and YEH! thanks to make me know they aren't servo's. i will change the title to " easy and cheap substitute for servo's "
thanks once again ?

i am really sorry, but i only mean to say that there are many differences between a servo and a normal motor.
