Introduction: A Homemade Thermometer

Hey guy's the winter is near. And most people get sick during winter. And what happens when you are sick? You lie on your bed and your mother uses a thermometer to see your body temperature. Thermometers are seen in your cars, house or any other places. Everyone has a thermometer in his or her house. But if you do not have a thermometer in your house you don't need to go to a shop to buy it. You can just make one! So today I am going to show you how to make a homemade thermometer. Let's begin...........

Step 1: Things You Will Need

The things you will need are,

1. A Plastic Bottle

2. Water

3. Rubbing Alcohol

4. A Straw

5. Some Clay

Step 2: Preparing the Thermometer

Now, first take a plastic bottle and fill it with the solution of water and rubbing alcohol. The proportion of water and rubbing alcohol in the solution is 1:1. Now don't fill the bottle. Only fill the 1/4th portion of the bottle. You can put some food color in the solution to brighten It's color. Now put the straw in the bottle and cover the bottle's mouth with clay like given in the picture. But remember you will have to put the straw in the solution but the end of the straw can not touch the bottom of the bottle. WALLAH! your Thermometer is ready. You can test it by putting it in hot water. If the temperature rises, the solution will also rise up the straw. And if the temperature drops, the solution will also drop down from the straw.

Have fun!!!!
