Introduction: A Turbo Lighter Into a Flashlight

About: I always liked making stuff and when my grandfather showed me Instructables I became an addict. I don't have any degrees yet but I'm working on my aeronautics engineering degree :-P

Have you ever seen a lighter flashlight and wanted one..? Or you might have a broken lighter and you want to reuse it..? here's you're solution...

In this guide I will teach you how to build a cool and simple lighter flashlight.

Step 1: What You'll Need:

1) Turbo lighter.

2) 3 flat batteries(the kind doesn't really matter).

3) 2 white LEDs.

4) Hot glue gun.

5) A switch.

6) A plastic tube.

7) A pair of pliers.

8) Battery holder metal parts.

9) Electric wires.

Step 2:

Take apart your lighter (make sure its empty of gas first), the only parts we will need are the body and the head.

Now take out the gas outputs from the lighter head as described in the second photo.

After that use hot glue to glue the LEDs in the two holes (see photo number 3).

Step 3:

Now connect the two negative LED's legs together and connect a wire to them.

Then glue the switch under the lighter's button that when you press the button the switch is pressed too.

Connect the two positive LED's legs to one switch's leg.

Step 4: Building the Battery Holder

On the bottom of your plastic tube glue the spring part, then insert the batteries (positive side heading down).

After inserting the batteries, glue the the other battery holder's part above them (make sure that the glue is not preventing the upper battery and the aluminium part touching each other).

Now, connect electric wires to the positive and negative parts, the negative wire goes to the negative wire that is connected to the LED's legs and the positive wire goes to the switch.

Step 5:

Now, check that your circuit is working by pressing the lighter's button.

Insert everything into the lighter's body and your'e finished.
