Introduction: Antique Frame With Dried Flowers

About: Graphic designer - DIY enthusiast

Better than plastic frames, looks nice i think :)

Step 1:

I’ve assembled four pieces of thin wood by cutting the endpoints 45-degree angle. Used glue and wood connector brackets on rear side. After that, I applied some plaster on the frame to fix minor roughness. Then painted the frame greenish and scratched to show it antique.

Step 2:

I’ve placed passepartout, the photo and the glass appropriate for the frame. All have been fixed by silicon. Then I’ve started to place dried flowers on the frame by sticking them. The next phase was varnishing. I’ve masked the glass before varnishing. It shows the flowers shiny and also it is good for durability.

Step 3:

I’ve attached a holder to the rear of the frame for wall mount by using silicon again. And voila! It seems pretty nice on the wall.
