Step 1: Mix Your Resin

Every brand of resin has unique instructions. In this project we used Ice Resin which needs a mix of equal parts of the resin for 2 minutes. We mix the resin making sure to scrape the sides and bottom, then let it rest for 5 minutes.

Step 2: Arrange You Organic Material

Arrange the organic materials in their desired locations. They might move slightly when you add your resin, don't worry this can be corrected later.

Step 3: Pour in Resin

Now you are ready to pour in your resin. Do this slowly and gently, making sure the resin reaches the edges of your bezel.

Step 4: Let the Resin Cure

Once you've poured in all the resin allow it to dry or cure, I left mine in a cool dust free area for 24 hours. Be sure no pets, like curious cats, are able to reach your project!

Does the resin ever pull the color out of the leaves and petals? I always wonder if the colors will fade :)

Hello! I have never seen any color bleed from flowers or leaves and move into the resin. That would be cool if you could get an effect like that! Maybe a flower used in making dyes like indigo? It would be a really cool experiement!
