Introduction: Delicious Halloween Zombie Severed Hand

This recipe is perfect for Halloween, it has all the elements you need, a severed limb, zombie and blood.
I remember the first time I baked this hand, it was Halloween night and kids had just arrived home form school. I called them to the dinner table and told them with a stern

face, kids times are hard now so we have to eat whatever I can find, and I threw the pan which contained the hand on the table. I never saw the kids flee the kitchen so

fast. But my amusement was cut short when I saw my wife's face and I knew I was in trouble. But, later we all had fun and enjoyed it, and now they help me make it.

So here is how it's done...

Step 1: The Dough

To make the dough, you'll need the following ingredients:
2.5 cups of flower

1 cup of warm water (77F/25C slightly above room temperature)

1 package of fast rising yeast (2 and a quarter tsp)

1 and a half tsp of oil

1/4 tsp of salt

1/2 tsp of sugar

Stir the sugar in the water and add the yeast, let them sit for about 10 minutes until the yeast starts foaming.

Add the salt to the flower, then add the water with the yeast and the oil.

Mix them thoroughly for about 5 minutes, use your hands, until the dough becomes smooth and shiny.

Put the dough in a slightly greased bowl, cover it with a hot towel and put it is in a warm and dark place (oven) for about one hour until the dough rises.

Step 2: Make the Zombie Hand

Start by cooking the Hot Dogs or sausages, whichever you like.
When the dough is ready, take half of it and roll it on a smooth surface. Make sure that you roll it thin.

Put your hand on the dough and use the other one to trace the shape of your hand using a butter knife.

Transfer the shaped dough onto a baking pan (lined with parchment paper). The hand will warp and change shape..... It's OK remember it is a zombie hand after all.

Cut the hotdogs in long strips to fit in the fingers, palm and the arm, let a couple of hotdog pieces stick out from the stump as bones..... remember you ripped this arm out

of a zombie......

Re-use the remaining dough to trace another hand, make sure to use the same hand.

Place it on top of the other piece and the hotdogs, and connect the two pieces together. Use a little bit of water to make the dough stick to one another, and if you see

that it is thin in one place, roll out a small piece of dough and stick it on the thin part.

Use the round tips of the hotdogs as finger nails, they will brown and deform in the oven [remember zombie]

Bake it at 370 degrees for about 20 minutes

Garnish the stump and the wound with ketchup as blood then enjoy it.

The dough should be enough to make two hands.

Please note: The initial story is true but no kids or zombies were hurt in making this delicious arm

Happy Halloween in advance
