If you are ever in an emergency situation where you need to signal for help, look no further than you First Aid Kit.

This hack of a first aid kit will have you making an emergency smoke signal or smoke bomb.

Step 1: Gather What You Will Need

1 instant cold pack from first aid kit

several sheets of news paper

String or twine

bucket

water

Step 2: Prepare Instant Cold Pack and Prepare Ammonium Nitrate Solution

Carefully cut open an instant cold pack

take out water sack

pour ammonium nitrate crystals in a bucket

add water to ammonium nitrate while swishing the bucket

add just enough water till all the ammonium nitrate is dissolved

Step 3: Adding the Newspaper

add sheets of paper to ammonium nitrate solution

keep adding sheet till all solution is absorbed by the newspaper

take newspaper out of the bucket and lay on flat surface to dry for a few hours.

Once dry tightly fold the newspaper into a roll and tie with string.

Step 4: Get Ready to Be Rescued!

It is now ready to signal your rescue

just light one end on fine and stand back and wait for help to arrive.
